Variation Laws of Gap Between Long and Short Center Rail Waist and Top Iron During Opening of Curved Track of Passenger Dedicated Line
When the turnout is opened with a curved track, the excessive gap between the long and short center rail waist of the movable frog and the top iron will have a negative impact on the stress of the long and short center rail components.Using finite element software, simulation analysis was conducted on the gap between the long and short center rails and the top iron of the No.12 and No.18 turnouts of the passenger dedicated line during the opening of the curved track. The variation law of the gap was studied, providing theoretical reference for the assembly of turnouts in the factory according to TB/T 3307.1-2020 Technical Conditions for Manufacturing High speed Railway Turnouts Part 1:Manufacturing and Assembly. The results show that the finite element analysis results are basically consistent with the measured data in the factory, and it is feasible to use finite element simulation to investigate the gap changes between the rail waist and the top iron when the movable frog is opened from straight to curved track. At the same time, due to the change is over 3 mm in the gap between the 115#top iron of the long and short center rails of the No.12 turnout on the passenger dedicated line when it is opened,it is recommended to further study and optimize the structure of the long and short center rails of the No.12 turnout on the passenger dedicated line.
