Experimental Study on Compaction Characteristics of Subgrade Filling Materials for Phyllite and Greywacke
In response to the problem of difficulty in directly using subgrade fillers mainly composed of phyllite and greywacke in southwestern China, indoor compaction tests were conducted on phyllite and greywacke using orthogonal experimental methods. The orthogonal analysis was carried out to explore the main controlling factors of filler compaction during the compaction process and obtain the optimal compaction combination. The results show that the optimal moisture content of phyllite is at 4%~6%,and the optimal moisture content of greywacke is at 6%~8%.At the same time,it was found in the compaction test that the 98 times of compaction had the greatest impact on the change rate of soil compaction degree.Combined with the combination of strong and weak vibration compaction used in subgrade construction, the optimal combination mode that can meet the target compaction degree was calculated as 8 times of strong vibration and 2 times of weak vibration.
