Study on Seismic Design of Simply Supported Beam Bridges for High-Speed Railways in High Intensity Areas
With the large-scale construction of high-speed railways in recent years, simply supported beam bridges in high intensity areas have become commonly used structures, and studying their seismic design has important practical significance.Based on the engineering example of a super large bridge crossing the Dingwu Highway on the high-speed railway from Zhongwei to Lanzhou located in the seismic fortification intensity Ⅷ zone(dynamic peak acceleration 0.3g),with a site characteristic period of 0.45 s,divided into conventional design and seismic isolation design, this paper compared the calculation results of simplified calculation, response spectrum, and time history methods and studied the seismic response of bridges using four types of vibration reduction and isolation devices, namely separated seismic isolation tenon, tenon shaped anti falling beam, hyperbolic spherical seismic isolation bearing, and new steel damping seismic isolation bearing. The results indicate that for simply supported beam piers, the simplified calculation method can meet the accuracy requirements of seismic calculation;the new type of steel damping seismic isolation bearing has good seismic isolation effect.
