Experimental Study on the Performance of HDC Impact and Wear Resistance Concrete
The maximum discharge head of a certain hydropower station project is about 240 m,the maximum discharge flow is about 8200 m3/s,and the maximum discharge flow rate is nearly 50 m/s.It requires high anti erosion and wear resistance performance of the concrete for the discharge structure. This article conducts comparative experiments on two types of anti impact and wear concrete, namely silicon powder and HDC.Firstly, the improvement effect of HDC on concrete performance is verified. Then, the parameters of HDC admixture concrete are optimized through a series of experiments. Finally, the construction performance of HDC admixture is verified through on-site pouring in a test warehouse. The experimental results indicate that:(1)the amount of HDC added has a significant impact on the strength of the benchmark concrete;when the HDC content increases from 0%to 8%,the compressive strength increases;when it exceeds 8%,the compressive strength begins to decrease.(2)When the water cement ratio of the impact resistant concrete with 8%HDC addition is 0.32 and the design slump is 70-90 mm,the strength improvement is most significant and the construction performance is the best.(3)HDC admixtures can improve the workability of concrete, reduce the peak temperature and maximum temperature rise of the test chamber, improve the production performance of on-site concrete, and are beneficial for the crack resistance of large volume concrete. The research results of this article provide a guarantee for the improvement of the performance of anti erosion concrete and the smooth construction of a certain hydropower station.
