Seepage Characteristics and Water Control Measures of Ultra-Large Deep Foundation Pit in Beijing Sub-Center Railway Station
The ultra-large foundation pit of the Beijing Sub-Central Comprehensive Transportation Hub Project is 32 m deep and 1.8 km long from east to west.Seepage prevention and water control are the most challenging issues during the foundation pit excavation.Based on the multi-layer aquifer conditions and the characteristics of the supporting and curtain structures, theoretical analysis is used in this paper to investigate the seepage characteristics of the ultra-large foundation pit,the evaluation of water inflow which is suitable for this type of strata is proposed and its seepage quantity is determined. Moreover, check calculations of total water inflow and anti-surge at the bottom of deep foundation pit are carried out,the water control measures that combine the dewatering and pit drainage are proposed comprehensively, which ensures the safe construction of ultra-large deep foundation pits.
