Key Construction Technology of Underwater Pile Cap Steel Hanging Box Cofferdam for High-Piled Wharf in Inland River Reservoir Area
Taking the construction of the Yangkeng operation area wharf in the Yanping New City Port Area of Nanping Port in Fujian as an example, this paper addresses the challenges posed by high water levels in the Minjiang River estuary. It focuses on the structural characteristics of high-piled wharf pile caps and innovates and optimizes the traditional steel hanging box cofferdam structure.By adding sealed cavities for ship-relying components and designing specialized placement devices for these components,a steel hanging box cofferdam structure suitable for high-piled wharf pile cap construction has been developed, enabling dry construction conditions for underwater pile caps. The paper also details the construction process of the steel cofferdam for underwater pile caps at high-piled wharves in inland river reservoir areas, including the assembly of the steel cofferdam, installation of isolation chambers for ship-relying components, overall lowering of the steel cofferdam, sealing and concrete pouring, load transfer in the bearing system, and anchoring methods for installing ship-relying components.Practice has shown that the improved steel hanging box cofferdam effectively resolves the technical difficulties associated with the construction of underwater pile caps and the installation of ship-relying components at high-piled wharves. It enhances construction efficiency at reservoir wharves, reduces construction time and costs, and offers broad application prospects.
