Exploring the Impact of Photovoltaic Cell Distribution Modes on the Energy Performance of Photovoltaic Curtain Wall Buildings
With the growth of the social economy, traditional fossil fuels as the main energy supply are being rapidly depleted.Based on the current energy consumption situation in China, utilizing renewable energy has become a feasible direction for reducing the operational energy consumption of buildings. This paper aims to compare and analyze the annual energy consumption of photovoltaic curtain walls under different forms of photovoltaic modules and different solar cell coverage rates, and optimize the distribution of photovoltaic modules in different thermal zones. For cold regions and moderate regions, striped distribution of photovoltaic curtain walls with solar cell coverage rates of 70%and 60%respectively demonstrates the best energy performance. As for regions with hot summers and cold winters, the best energy performance can be achieved with a square distribution of photovoltaic curtain walls and a solar cell coverage rate of 60%.
