Forecasting of Photovoltaic Potential and Techno-Economic Analysis of Chinese Railway Stations
Railway stations,as infrastructures, have considerable spatial potential for arranging photovoltaic(PV)power generation systems on station roofs and platform canopies. The PV potential and techno-economic characteristics of China's high-grade railway stations are analysed by combining the three-dimensional digital earth system(LSV)and PV station calculation methods, and the results show that:China's high-grade railway stations, which are mainly used for passenger transport, can have a total installed PV capacity of up to 820 MW,and a total annual PV power generation of up to 1 111 GWh;the initial investment in photovoltaic construction of railway stations is large, but under the premise of adopting a reasonable operation strategy, most stations can complete the full recovery of the initial investment within 4~7 years under the condition of full self-use,and the specific economic volume of profit depends on the power generation capacity of the station.
