Study on the Properties of Recycled Aggregate Permeable Concrete
The discharge of construction waste during the renovation of old cities is escalating, and the reuse of construction waste has become the most effective measure to reduce the consumption of new building materials and properly address the construction waste issue.Starting with the selection of raw materials and the design of mix proportions for recycled aggregate permeable concrete(RAPC),this study has provided the particle size range for waste concrete aggregates and conducted gradation design and performance testing of RAPC.Additionally,it has analyzed the factors affecting the mechanical properties and permeability of the concrete. The findings indicate that the compressive strength, tensile strength, and flexural strength of RAPC all decrease with the increase in aggregate particle size and target porosity.Conversely, the permeability coefficient of the concrete increases as the particle size of the aggregate and the target porosity grow. The concrete prepared by waste concrete instead of sand and stone can be used as paving materials for low-grade pavements such as non-motorized lanes, sidewalks, and parking lots.
