Study on the Splitting Effect of Collapsible Loess by High Pressure Gas Injection
Collapsible loess is a kind of unsaturated underconsolidated soil, and the strength of the soil decreases significantly after it is soaked with water.A large number of collapsible loess is distributed in northeast, northwest and central regions of China, which has great hidden danger to the safety of buildings. In this paper,a method of splitting collapsible loess by high-pressure gas injection is proposed. It is expected that the high pore ratio structure in loess is destroyed by high pressure gas injection, and the internal structure of soil is rearranged to make the soil strength stable.Additionally, the feasibility of high pressure jet gas splitting collapsible loess is preliminarily verified by laboratory tests and numerical analysis. The results show that high pressure jet gas has a certain effect on splitting soil with shallow depth and low compaction, which provides a theoretical basis for the subsequent study of high pressure jet gas splitting and destruction of collapsible loess.
