Study on the Scheme of Subway Crossing the Old Railway Tunnel in the 1950s and 1960s
The Changsha tunnel, constructed in the 1950s and 1960s,is an old railway tunnel situated in a complex surrounding environment. It intersects with the orangery overpass on Shaoshan Road,a main urban thoroughfare, and is surrounded by densely packed houses and high-rise buildings. This study reviews the design of the old tunnel, and in conjunction with the actual situation of Changsha Metro Line 7,it investigates the construction scheme of the subway crossing the existing old railway tunnel.A reasonable and feasible cut and cover method is proposed, and the construction process is simulated using numerical simulation software. The impact of the crossing excavation on the deformation of the old tunnel and track is analyzed. The results show that the cut and cover method can meet the deformation limitation requirements of the Changsha tunnel and track. The designed underground dark bridge structure can significantly reduce the impact of subway operations on the vibration of the Changsha tunnel, while also avoiding the impact of maintenance work on the subway operation above due to the long-term aging of the Changsha tunnel, the selected scheme is reasonable and feasible.
