Overall Structural Design of Bozhong Dongjiang River Bridge
Bozhong Dongjiang River Bridge is a(118+280+123)m twin-pylon single-cable plane concrete cable-stayed bridge, which located in Boluo County,Huizhou,Guangdong Province. The pylons are longitudinal herringbone single-column structures, with the structural system of one pylon for consolidation and the other pylon for passing through the bridge deck(with bearings). The main girder adopts a single-box five-cell concrete box girder with a diagonal web, with a height of 3.68 m and a width of 38 m.It adopts a longitudinal, transverse and vertical prestressed system. To meet the requirements of the connection of the approach bridges and ramps on both sides, the main girder adopts a widening section within the 25.5 m range of the two side spans. The pylon adopts a reinforced concrete solid structure, with a height of 73 m above the bridge deck. The cables are made of epoxy-coated prestressed steel strands, with double-helix HDPE outer sheath tubes. The cables at the pylon end are anchored by split-wire pipe saddles, and tensioned at the girder ends.In order to study the mechanical behavior of the twin-pylon,single cable plane cable-stayed bridge with different structural systems, this paper conducted a comparative analysis of five different structural systems, which verified the rationality of the bridge's structural system.Structural calculation and analysis indicate that the mechanic behavior on the pylon, main girder, and cables meets the requirements of the design specification, and the elastic stability of the structure during the construction and operation stages meets the design specification.
