Against the backdrop of the vigorous development of railway construction in our country, the industry has conducted numerous studies and explorations on"station-city integration"and"air-rail intermodality"respectively. This paper, taking Wuhan Tianhe Railway Station,an aviation+railway hub,as an example, conducts research from the perspectives of railway station functions,air-rail intermodality, and station-city integration.By adopting a problem-oriented design derivation approach and utilizing research methods such as field investigations and case studies,it explores innovative experiences in railway station design that cater to the needs of aviation+railway. With a focus on the new design strategy of integrating air and railway and deepening station-city integration, this paper addresses issues including station-city integration within the air-rail integrated hub area, comparisons of models for embedding aviation functions within railway stations, and functional layouts to accommodate phased construction of the hub.
