Research on Design,Processing and Application of Lightweight Steel Segment for the Partial Ring
The reinforced concrete segment used as partial segment of shield tunnel has disadvantages such as high-risk for lifting and low-rate for reusing. In order to design lightweight steel segment, the processing technology and inspection standard are studied. In addition, the applications of steel segment are compared with those of reinforced concrete segment based on the reuse of several projects. The results show that, considering the factors such as lightweight, safety and usability, the optimal choice for partial steel segment is the design of closed outer cambered surface. The maximum misalignment between the rings is 3 mm,and the maximum misalignment between the segments is 2 mm.The compression deformation is elastic, with the maximum value of 0.58 mm.Compared with reinforced concrete segments of the same specification, the steel segments demonstrate significant advantages in terms of the weight, demolition efficiency and lifting risk.To a certain extent, the high-rate reuse of steel segment compensates for its disadvantage of high cost.
