In the context of the integration of station and city,the station square,as a communication hub and intermediary space of the city,has developed from a single transportation hub to an open square with dual functions of traffic evacuation and urban space,which has greater significance.This article describes the overall characteristics of China's railway passenger transport hub station square from six aspects:the relationship between station type and station square,the scale and interface shape of station square,the urban axis and skyline,and the observation of station square behavior.Through a combination of quantitative research and on-site investigation,the article focuses on analyzing the new trends and design directions of station square in the context of station city integration era.
