Research on Southwest Passenger Capacity and Gap Solutions in Puxi Area of Shanghai Railway Terminal
The Puxi area of the Shanghai Railway Terminal has strong demand for southwest passenger traffic.The Shanghai-Hangzhou corridor includes the existing Shanghai-Hangzhou High-speed Railway and the Shanghai-Kunming Railway.Even in collaboration with the under construction Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-speed Railway,it can not meet the strong passenger demand for the corridor.This paper studies the use of the existing Shanghai-Kunming Railway,Shanghai Jinshan Line,under construction Shanghai-Suzhou-Hangzhou High-speed Railway,Huzhou-Hangzhou Railway,Shanghai-Zhapu-Hangzhou Railway combination diversion scheme,or the new-built Shanghai-Hangzhou Intercity Shanghai-Jiaxing section scheme to address the issue of existing corridor capacity saturation.And then,it comprehensively analyzes and recommends the construction of the Shanghai-Hangzhou Intercity Songjiang South-Jiaxing South section as soon as possible from the aspects of adaptability of various railway lines,project investment,passenger convenience and economic benefits,so as to solve the problem of the passenger capacity and gap in the southwest of Puxi,the Shanghai railway terminal.
