Research on Switchover Solution of CBTC System and CTCS-2 System for Suburban Railway
To meet requirements of cross-line operation of suburban railway, the compatibility solution of the CBTC system and CTCS-2 system is studied. The connection mode of the connecting lines and the corresponding operation scenarios of the two types of train control system'switchover are analyzed. The approach of using dual onboard train control system equipment for signal switchover is introduced in view of onboard signal equipment and track-side signal equipment, and the process of switchover is described. For train-stop switching mode and non-train-stop switching mode, their equipment management boundaries, system composition, data interaction and track-side equipment configuration, ground signal indication are explored respectively. The headway control requirements of cross-line train operation, configuration of train dispatch systems and setting of temporary speed limits are discussed. The requirements of different switching modes for onboard train control mode are also explored, the risk of inconsistent speed limit curves of different onboard train control system at the moment of signal system's switchover are analyzed, the interface configuration between onboard devices, onboard devices and vehicles, drivers, and peripheral devices are also discussed. Finally, suggestions for engineering design, construction, and operation are provided, the prospects for the connectivity and inter-operation of the signal system in suburban railways are discussed. The research results can provide references for engineering design of suburban railway as well as the research and development of signal equipment.
