Study on Failure to Unlocking of Point of Frog of No.42 Turnout
The No.42 turnout is usually installed at the intersection of two lines or block posts on the main line of a high-speed railway.Located at the fork of different high-speed railway lines, the block posts are mostly unattended. When a turnout malfunctions, maintenance personnel take a long time to deal with it,which has a great influence on train operation. To this end, through nearly three years of in-depth analysis on the failures to unlocking of point of frogs in 22 sets of No.42 turnouts on Beijing-Harbin high-speed line and Harbin-Dalian high-speed line conducted by the Shenyang high-speed railway infrastructure maintenance division,it is found that the main reasons are temperature change and structure factors.By comparing data and conducting experiments, corrective actions such as adjusting the dimensions and geometric parameters of the turnout frame and the conversion resistance adhesion force of the turnout, and improving the structure of the external locking accessories, while standardizing the process of the joint rectification operations of No.42 turnout by signal and track maintenance personnel, the failure to unlocking of point of frog in No.42 turnout can be solved generally, conducive to ensure the safety of train operation of high-speed railway.
