The study of"System and Literature"in the Tang Dynasty began in the 1980s and has developed into a research paradigm after more than thirty years of academic research and accumulation.In terms of theoretical development,it has gone through a dynamic development process from"literary system ontology"to"hierarchical theory of literary system",adjusting the unidirectional research paradigm of"system and literature"and providing important ideas and methods for the study of classical literature.In terms of research status,certain achievements have been made at various levels of the Tang Dynasty literary system.Studies of the external level focus on the institutional environment of Tang literature,but lacking discussion on the literary form and its own regulations.While studies of the internal level focus on exploring the internal system of literature,they lack analysis of the external institutional environment.Given the imbalance in the studies of the literary system of the Tang Dynasty,it is of great significance to strengthen research in this regard.
