Coordinated Development of Railway Accessibility and Urban Vitality:A Case Study of Urban Agglomeration in Guanzhong Plain
In-depth exploration into the coordinated development relationship between railway accessibility and urban vitality is conducive to the sustainable development of urban agglomerations and balanced regional development. This paper employs not only the entropy method to assess urban vitality but also the weighted average travel time to analyze the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics of railway accessibility.Meanwhile, the coupling coordination degree model and spatial econometric model are adopted to investigate the coupling and coordination relationship between railway accessibility and urban vitality in urban agglomerations,as well as the influence of railway accessibility on the urban vitality system. The results indicate that the urban vitality of the urban agglomeration in Guanzhong Plain exhibits an overall upward trend with significantly improved railway accessibility, which leads to a typical"core-periphery"spatial pattern.Additionally, there are notable regional differences in the coupling coordination degree between urban vitality and railway accessibility.Specifically, railway accessibility can promote the economic vitality of local areas and urban agglomerations, but it exerts a reverse effect on the economic vitality of surrounding regions.Furthermore, railway accessibility contributes to enhancing social vitality in both local and surrounding areas, having a positive effect on the environmental vitality of the local area.
