Objective:To evaluate the effects of mindfulness meditation therapy on negative emotions and cardiac function in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods:CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database,PubMed,Web of Science,The Cochrane Library,EMBASE,EBSCOhost were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCT)on the effects of mindfulness meditation therapy on negative emotions and cardiac function in patients with chronic heart failure from the establishment of the database to April 2022.The literature that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria was evaluated for quality, and RevMan5.4 software was used for Meta-analysis of extracted data.Results:13 RCTs were included, including 1 222 patients. The Meta-analysis results showed that mindfulness meditation therapy was effective in improving anxiety[SMD =-1.53,95% CI(-2.14,-0.92),P<0.000 01],depression[SMD =-1.22,95% CI(-1.69,-0.75),P<0.000 01],Left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)[MD =3.31,95% CI(1.75,4.86),P<0.000 1],and 6-minute walking test distances[MD =41.33,95% CI(18.58,64.08),P =0.000 4]in patients with chronic heart failure. Conclusion:Nursing intervention mode based on mindfulness meditation therapy compared with routine nursing can effectively improve negative emotions and cardiac function problem in patients with chronic heart failure. However,we lack of high-quality evidence to support the improvement of cardiac function and fewarticles are available, further high-quality studies are needed for verification.
