Objective:To research on the cognitive differences among pediatricians regarding the current status of doctor-patient relationship through quantitative analysis,and to provide reference for medical institutions to strengthen pediatricians' doctor-patient communication skills and reduce doctor-patient disputes.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted among 240 pediatricians in a specialized hospital.To compare the cognitive differences in perception of relevant dimensions of the doctor-patient relationship among pediatricians with different characteristics,the factors influencing the cognition of doctor-patient relationship were analyzed by linear regression.Results:Pediatricians with different gender,age,professional title,educational background and working years have different cognition on the status of doctor-patient relationship,patient trust,the impact of medical conflict on hospital,the impact of doctor-patient relationship on doctor-patient communication,the impact of doctor-patient relationship on medical decision-making and the effect of doctor-patient dispute settlement system,and the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05).In addition,this survey shows that the majority of pediatricians believe that the main reasons why patients choose our hospital are the high technical level and trust of doctors;in non-technical content of hospitals,most pediatricians believe that the professional ethics and attitude of medical staff,as well as medical service behavior,are the most important.Through linear regression analysis,cognitive level of pediatric doctor-patient relationship status are negatively correlated with gender(β=-0.197,P=0.030)and professional title(β=-0.295,P<0.001),while,there is a positive correlation between educational background(β=0.209,P=0.014).Conclusion:Hospitals should enhance communication training for junior pediatricians,and improve the system for handling medical disputes,reduce the impact of medical disturbance,as well as improve non-technical aspects of care.The media should also regulate their reporting to create a harmonious atmosphere between doctors and patients.
