Reconstructing the Principles of Political Science with Marxist-Leninist Philosophy
From the very beginning,modern political science has had two ideological and academic linea-ges:liberal political science and Marxist political science.In the era of American style globalization,liberal social sciences occupy a leading position in the world.The success of Chinese modernization pushes us to re-write the principles of political science.It is reasonable to take Marxism-Leninism as the philosophical founda-tion,and transform the practical theories of Marxism-Leninism with sinicization and modernization into the methods,concepts,logic and propositions of political science.The essence of Marxism is dialectic material-ism,which can be used to reconstruct the basic principles of the new political science:understanding politics as a holistic practice of changing the world;adopting a dynamic-centred research approach;taking the organi-zation of political nature and its organizing mechanisms and development—the comprehensive social progress and human development centered on the development of productive forces—of political dynamics as the main object of research;and using the world system and history as the meta methodology.
