Research on Performance and Microscopic Mechanism of Modified Diatomite SBS and High Viscosity Compound Modified Asphalt Based on Surface Energy Theory
In order to study the effect of adhesion between the anti-spalling agent and the aggregate,SBS modified as-phalt was prepared and dosed with a quantitative amount of anti-spalling agent in this paper, comparative tests were also carried out using 70#matrix asphalt.A modified boiling test was used as a preliminary basis for judging the adhesion of asphalt-aggregate adhesion, and the contact angle method was used to obtain surface energy parameters to calculate the adhesion work to analyze the adhesion. The asphalt mixture was molded and the freeze-thaw splitting test was used to determine the water stability of the asphalt mixture and to verify the asphalt-aggregate adhesion. The 3 kinds of asphalt adhesion grades obtained by the modified boiling method are:SBS modified asphalt and SBS-A adhesion grade are grade 5,and 70#matrix asphalt adhesion grade is grade 4.The adhesion power of the asphalt with limestone was:SBS-A>SBS-modified asphalt>70#matrix asphalt, and the adhesion power of SBS-A increased by 7.3%compared to SBS-modified asphalt and SBS-A increased by 11.9%compared to 70#matrix asphalt. The TSR value of SBS-A asphalt mixture is 2.9%higher than that of SBS-modified asphalt mixture, and the test results fully verify that the adhesion between SBS-A and limestone is high.
