The emergency management ability of unexpected events in colleges and universities is an important part of national security system,it is also significant reflection to modernize of national governance system and governance capacity.This paper analyzes the current situation of emergency management of unexpected events in colleges and universities,and proposes the solutions for improvement.The research shows that there are some problems in the current emergency management of unexpected events in colleges and universities,such as imperfect top-level design,incomplete warning mechanisms,insufficient human support,inadequate practical exercises,poor information channels,and inadequate hardware and software.Colleges and universities should perfect preventive and coordinating top-level design,establish logical emergency plan system,enlarge the staff of the emergency management,build practical drill base,keep the channel of information open,improve the technical level of hardware and software,to comprehensively improve the emergency management ability of unexpected events in colleges and universities.
