S7-300 PLC is widely used in the field of industrial control.It is a control solution with mature technology and convenientapplication.This paper expounds the hardware driving method and special instructions of seven-segment digital tube in S7-300 PLC,and lists three methods based on counter instruction,subtraction instruction and timer instruction to display the count-down of seven-segment digital tube.By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the three methods,a solution is proposed for the realization of count-down display of seven-segment digital tube in the future.
