Predictive Value of Serum Leptin and Adiponectin Levels in First Trimester of Pregnancy for Gestational Diabetes Mellitus
In order to observe the predictive value of serum leptin(LEP)and adiponectin(APN)levels in the first trimester of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM),the subjects were divided into GDM group and non-GDM group according to whether the pregnant women were combined with GDM at 24-28 weeks of pregnancy. The serum levels of LEP and APN at 4-12 weeks of pregnancy were compared between the two groups. The factors influencing the occurrence of GDM and the early predictive value of LEP and APN for GDM were analyzed. The results show that LEP level in GDM group is higher than that in non-GDM group(P<0.05),and APN level is lower than that in non-GDM group(P<0.05).Serum LEP and APN levels are independent influencing factors for the occurrence of GDM(P<0.05).The AUC of GDM predicted by LEP and APN is higher than that predicted by LEP and APN alone(Z=3.029,3.154;P<0.05).The results indicate that both LEP and APN have high predictive value for GDM,and the combined detection of LEP and APN can improve the predictive value.
