Development and Optimization Research of Safety Isolation Box Technology for Oil Wells Driven by Permanent Magnet Motor in Offshore Oil Fields
An oilfield in Bohai Sea is a pilot unit of the application of permanent magnet motor to drive electric submersible pump well in China's offshore oilfields.During the application process,it was found that the permanent magnet motor rotor would passively rotate after the shutdown of the electric submersible pump well due to the backflow of liquid column in the wellbore and other factors, which would generate hundreds of volts(induced electromotive force),and energize the entire electrical control system of the oil well. The phenomenon would possibly lead to the accident such as personnel electrocuted or oil well surface equipment damaged. In order to minimize the risks caused by this issue,a safety isolation box technology was developed and optimized in the actual usage process, which realized the automatic and safe electrical isolation between the downhole permanent magnet electric pump unit and the ground transformer and frequency converter and other oil well auxiliary equipment, improving the reliability of the equipment and reducing the space occupation of the equipment.
