Research on Delamination Defects of High Density Balsa Wood in Wind Turbine Blades
Balsa wood is a key raw material for composite wind turbine blades.Balsa wood can be divided into conventional Balsa wood and high-density Balsa wood according to the volume density. The density of conventional balsa wood ranges from 100 to 150 kg/m3.High density balsa wood refers to materials with a density of over 150 kg/m3.High density Bassa wood produced in Indonesia is prone to delamination between fiberglass and Balsa wood during use. This paper studies the reasons and mechanism of the high-density balsa delamination problem by the experimental analysis method, and puts forward some suggestions for solving the problem.
