Progress in Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment of Polycythemia vera
Polycythemia vera is a clonal myeloproliferative disease of hematopoietic stem cells,with many complications,mainly thrombotic diseases,which seriously affect the quality of life of patients.Although long-term use of Western medicine can control the growth of the number of cells,it has many side effects,and the patient's tolerance and compliance are poor.The survival period of this disease is longer,traditional Chinese medicine treatment can significantly improve the symptoms of patients,while reducing the amount of Western medicine,so as to reduce the adverse drug reactions.The integrated treatment of traditional Chinese and Western medicine can improve the quality of life of patients with this disease.This article reviews the research and understanding on the etiology,pathogenesis and dialectical treatment of Polycythemia vera in recent years,and looks forward to the future research direction of integrated treatment of traditional Chinese and Western medicine.
