Effect of Home Rehabilitation on Improvement of Exercise Capacity of Patients with Relapsed Pulmonary Tuberculosis during Consolidation Treatment Period
The effect of home rehabilitation on exercise capacity and physical fitness of patients with relapsed tuberculosis undergoing anti-tuberculosis treatment is discussed.62 patients with relapsed tuberculosis undergoing anti-tuberculosis treatment between 2022 and 2023 were selected and randomly divided into an intervention group(n=31)and a control group(n=31).The control group received routine medication and maintained their original exercise habits, and the intervention group received supervised home rehabilitation for 8 weeks on the basis of the control group.Outcome assessments were conducted before intervention and after 8 weeks of intervention, with 6-minute walking test(MWT)distance as the primary outcome indicator and the short physical performance battery(SPPB)as the secondary outcome indicator. Results show that after 8 weeks of intervention, the 6MWT distance and SPPB scores of the intervention group are significantly improved after treatment compared with before treatment(P<0.05),and there is statistical significance in the comparison between the two groups(P<0.05).Home rehabilitation can improve the exercise capacity and physical fitness of patients with relapsed tuberculosis.
