Analysis and Suggestions on Current Situation of Application for International Cooperation of TCM Patents
This paper takes the international cooperation application of traditional Chinese medicine patents as the breakthrough point,discusses the status quo,problems and needs of international scientific research cooperation of traditional Chinese medicine,and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions.The study found that in the 11192 international patent applications of traditional Chinese medicine,the number of international patents with a single applicant was 8239,accounting for 73.62%of the total number.The number of cooperative applications was 2953,accounting for 26.38%,and 76.53%of them were domestic cooperative applications,and the remaining 23.47%were transnational cooperative applications.The applications mainly based on China's core technology accounted for about 40.8%of the transnational cooperative applications.The main applicants of transnational cooperative patent applications were mainly transnational pharmaceutical companies,and domestic research institutions were the mainstay,and enterprises accounted for a relatively small proportion.Domestic pharmaceutical companies and research institutes tend to apply for a single application in the layout of international patent applications,which is related to their strong research and development strength on the one hand,and patent protection on the other hand,but the total amount is small.Cooperative application is helpful to the layout and protection of China's intellectual property rights in the world.
