A comprehensive benefit assessment of low impact development measures for sustainable stormwater management
In order to meet the good application effect and economic benefits of low impact development(LID)combinations in the urban stormwater management process.By applying the stormwater management model(SWMM)results indicators and the whole life cycle cost theory of the project,a comprehensive evaluation system of the environmental-cost effectiveness of different LID combinations is constructed, and the comprehensive benefits of each alternative are assessed by the combination of numerical simulation and mathematical analysis. To verify the feasibility of the theoretical model, nine LID combinations with different deployment ratios were embedded in actual projects for simulation and evaluation respectively. The results show that the LID combination with the highest overall benefits is"45%green roof+15%grass swales+30%rain gardens+70%permeable paving",with total runoff reduction rate of 52.83%,reduction rate of over 80%for all four types of pollution loads and total annual cost of 22 416 350 Yuan. This evaluation system provides new ideas for optimising sustainable urban rainwater management and provides guidance for the construction and development of sponge cities.
