Research on virtual private network optimization based on Inter-AS MPLS
The existing three Inter-AS virtual private network(VPN)schemes based on multi-protocol label switching(MPLS)all have the problems of excessive device load,weak scalability,and high maintenance cost.To this end,the Inter-AS VPN optimization scheme based on load sharing is proposed,and the network topology structure is optimized,and the input routing redistribution algorithm(IRRA),output label switching algorithm(OLSA)and routing target detecting algorithm(RTDA)are designed.Simulation results show that the optimization scheme is very effective in reducing the performance load of the boundary equipment.When the Inter-AS VPN instance reaches 300,the resource utilization of edge devices is reduced by 29%,53%and 4%respectively,compared with the existing Inter-AS scheme.When the provider edge router(PE)increases,the number of routing connections is significantly reduced compared with the existing Inter-AS scheme.Reducing the network maintenance cost and enhancing the network scalability are effective solutions for realizing Inter-AS virtual private network optimization.
