The major deficiencies in research on methods to generate mathematical ideas are: the limitedness of research contents of middle school teachers;a lack of empirical study from a psychological view;the imperfec-tion of teaching system of methods to generate mathematical ideas .After analyzing , the author points out the rea-sons are:the limitedness of middle school teachers ’ subject accomplishment and the effect of exams restricts the research; there lacks mutual understanding between college teachers and middle school teaching , which makes them lack comprehensive qualities needed by research and have no substantive cooperation with middle schools ;research on math education and psychology is not connected and ect .Therefore the author puts forward the sugges-tions that middle schools and universities , educational circles of mathematics and psychology , and administrative departments for education should form academic community , and cooperate to set up research and training sys-tems.
