Based on an analytical framework for the representation of ecological civilization education content, this study employs textual analysis to quantitatively and qualitatively assess the ecological civilization education content in textbooks.Overall, unified primary school textbook of Morality and Law progressively and comprehensively represents the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.Horizontally, there are differences in the volume of knowledge among physical forms, symbolic forms and abstract forms.Vertically, the distribution of content across different forms generally aligns with the expanding cognitive abilities and life experiences of students. In teaching the themes of ecological civilization education within these textbooks,it is essential to transition from normative to voluntary practices under the guidance of ecological civilization ideologies, such as"harmonious coexistence between humans and nature"and the curriculum standards. This involves planning educational objectives following educational logic, organizing teaching processes from the immediate to the distant, adhering to the logic of everyday life, and designing teaching content from concrete to abstract, following cognitive logic.
