An Exploration of the Philosophical Methodology to the Critique of Alienated Labor in Digital Capitalism
The advent of digital capitalism is not the result of an"active revolution"brought about by the development of productive forces, but the product of a"passive revolution"caused by capitalism with the help of the state, technology and monopoly. The development of digital technology doesn't free itself from the limitations of capitalist production relations, but instead helps capitalism to open up new profit margin, adjust its internal structure, produce and reproduce capitalist production relations. The current criticism of digital capitalism often stops at criticizing the reification of interpersonal relationships in the process of commodity circulation, exchange, and consumption, and the technicalization of mode of human existence, without exploring the issue of alienated labor determined by the mode of production under digital capital-ism.By borrowing the theoretical tool of Marx's critique of alienated labor,we can reveal the trilogy of al-ienated labor caused by the capitalist production mode in the digital age.First,in the seemingly formal e-qual exchange process, the content of social relations is reversed into the form of materialized labor results, which is manifested as the reification and digitization of interpersonal relations.Second,in the process of production, workers are subordinated to technology and fixed capital(i.e.materialized labor results),which is manifested as the real subsumption of human by capital under the conditions of digital technology.Third, the results of labor are plundered and then used as a condition for the expanded reproduction of the capitalist mode of production, which is manifested in the platform's appropriation of the spectrum that o-riginally belonged to public resources, and the continuous production and reproduction of capitalist produc-tion relations on the strength of this appropriation.
