Research on Township Resident Schools:A New Field of Rural Education Research
Township resident schools refer to schools located in the location of township gov-ernments and is a type of rural school.With the acceleration of urbanization,the proportion of ru-ral students attending township resident schools is gradually increasing,and township resident schools have become the main choice for most rural students to receive education.The develop-ment of township resident schools has attracted certain attention at the policy level,and in prac-tice,there has been a demand to strengthen research on township resident schools.However,ex-isting research has focused on small-scale schools,boarding schools,and other types of schools in rural areas,with little attention paid to township resident schools.Strengthening research on town-ship resident schools can give more attention to the special needs of township resident schools and clarify their management responsibilities,so to promot the development of rural schools,can pro-mote the social function of township resident schools and advance rural revitalization,and can en-rich the theoretical system of rural education in China and improve the construction of rural edu-cation.In the future,it is necessary to strengthen research on township resident schools,and We can start researching from the functional positioning and implementation path of township resident schools.
