高校英语专业本科毕业论文选题研究——以黄山学院外国语学院为例
On Thesis Topic Selection of English Majors in Application-oriented Universities——A Case Study of the School of Foreign Languages of Huangshan University

摘要
对黄山学院外国语学院 2018至2021年度本科英语专业毕业论文的标题进行词频分析,发现:文学方向选题较为随意、概念范畴含糊,翻译方向选题理论依据单一,教学方向选题侧重语言性教学,文化方向选题聚焦中外差异,旅游方向选题地方特色不足.认为应用型高校英语专业毕业论文选题应注重表述的严谨性,拓宽文学选题中作品的多样性,倡导应用翻译方向的选题,为此应拓展英语教学的学科及实践领域.
Abstract
According to the word frequency analysis of the titles of undergraduate English Major theses from 2018 to 2021 at the School of Foreign Languages of Huangshan University,it reveals the following findings:the selection of literary topics is relatively arbitrary with vague conceptual categories;the selection of translation topics has a single theoretical basis;the selection of teaching topics focuses on language teaching;the selection of cultural topics concentrates on differences between Chinese and foreign cultures;and the selection of tourism topics lacks local characteristics.It is believed that the selection of thesis topics for English majors in application-oriented universities should emphasize the rigor of expression,broaden the diversity of works in literary topics,advocate for the selection of topics in applied translation,and expand the discipline and practice areas of English teaching.
