A Study of Curriculum Reconstruction for Big Data Classes Incorporating the PBL-IECT Concept
Due to the short course construction history of big data professional courses, few cases of practical teaching, and insufficient teaching experience to draw on,the teaching mode is mainly based on traditional theoretical lectures and supplemented by on-computer practice.Traditional teaching is difficult to achieve satisfactory teaching results in terms of knowledge updating and practical integration with the industry.By analyzing the characteristics of big data courses, such as large knowledge span, fast content updating, high practical requirements, and strong technicality,we propose to reconstruct the big data courses by integrating the teaching mode of"PBL-IECT(Project Based-Expert Collaboration)"concept, and design a teaching mode based on the concept of"Project Driven(PBL)"and"Expert Collaboration",so to design a curriculum framework that optimizes the course content with"Project-Based Learning(PBL)"and the teaching mode with"Industry Expert Collaborative Teaching(IECT)".After several rounds of teaching experiments with the"Data Acquisition and Cleaning"course as an example,we found that this mode is effective in stimulating the students'creativity and enhancing their ability to solve practical problems.
