摘要
杜甫备受国内外译者喜爱,其诗作不断被翻译.他被誉为中国最伟大的诗人和中国的莎士比亚.论文以杜甫七言律诗《登高》在国内外较早的三个国家的代表性译者:路易·艾黎、洪业、吴钧陶的三个译本为例,以译者行为批评理论为指导,探讨三者所形成的群体译者行为,集中研究翻译外表现的时代特征与价值观念、意见领袖与出版、翻译观念与策略三个方面,细察翻译内在意象、诗行句法、风格翻译三个方面的差异.三位译者在翻译内和翻译外虽然存在一定差异,但他们都在杜甫诗歌翻译与国际传播方面作出了不可磨灭的贡献.
Abstract
Du Fu is esteemed by translators both at home and abroad,and his poems have been translated incessantly.He is acclaimed as China's greatest poet,often compared to Shakespeare of China.This article,centering on Du Fu's poem Mount ing,a poem of seven-character regulated verse,delves into the versions by three distinguished early translators from different countries,namely Rewi Alley,William Hung and Wu Juntao.Guided by the theory of"Translator Behavior Criticism",this study explores the group translator behaviors of these individuals,concentrating on the characteristics of times and values as reflected in the translations,opinion leaders and publishing,translation views and strategies from extra-translation.It meticulously ex-plores differences in the prominence of images,syntactic construction,and stylistic translation from intra-translation.Despite some differences in terms of intra-translation and extra-translation,they three have made indelible contributions to the translation and international communication of Du Fu's poetry.
