Research Progress of Cell Autophagy and Renal Cell Carcinoma
Autophagy is a cellular catabolic process.Autophagy can encapsulate intracellular misfolded proteins, senescent organelles and damaged structures in autophagosomes for catabolism and metabolism, which plays an important role in achieving the homeostasis of cellular material recycling and energy supply. With the continuous understanding of autophagy mechanisms,it has been found that autophagy plays a key role in biological processes such as carcinogenesis, angiogenesis, immune microenvi-ronment and therapeutic resistance.Cellular autophagy not only participates in tumor formation, but also plays a dual role in promoting or inhibiting cancer progress at different stages of renal cell carcinoma(RCC).Therefore, targeting autophagy may become an important strategy of treating renal cell carcinoma. However, the systemic mechanism of autophagy regulating tumor progression is not yet clear, and there is a lack of biological markers that can monitor the level of autophagy in RCC.Therefore, further clarifying the regulatory mechanism of autophagy will be the focus of future research in RCC.This article reviews the research progress of the relationship between autophagy and RCC,so as to provide new ideas and directions for precise treat-ment of RCC through targeted regulation of autophagy.
