Clinical observation on the intervention of Shaoyao Gancao granules in hyperprolactinemia caused by antipsychotic drugs
Objective:To explore the intervention effect of Shaoyao Gancao granules on patients with hyperprolactinemia(HPRL)caused by antipsychotic drugs.Methods:A random number table was used to divide 80 patients with antipsychotic drug-induced HPRL admitted to our hospital between July 2022 and November 2024 into two groups.Forty patients in the control group were not given the intervention,and 40 patients in the observation group were given the intervention of Shaoyao Gancao granules,which were administered in warm water and divided into morning and evening doses.Both groups underwent intervention for 8 weeks.Efficacy,prolactin(PRL)level,clinical overall impression scale(CGI)score,and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in PRL levels or clinical overall Impression Severity Scale(CGI-S)scores between the two groups before the intervention(P>0.05).The PRL levels and CGI-S scores of the two groups at the end of interventions 4 and 8 were lower than those before the intervention.The PRL level,CGI-S,and clinical overall Impression Improvement Scale(CGI-I)of the two groups were significantly lower at the end of intervention 8 weeks than at the end of intervention 4 weeks,and the observation group was lower than the control group,with statistical differences(P<0.05).After eight weeks of intervention,the most common adverse reactions between the two groups were headache,nausea,vomiting,dizziness,and insomnia.There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:The intervention of Shaoyao Gancao granules in patients with HPRL induced by antipsychotic drugs can effectively reduce PRL levels,improve disease severity,and promote symptom improvement,which is worthy of clinical application.
