Observation on the rehabilitation effect of Zhuanggu Guanjie capsule in promoting the rehabilitation of elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis
Objective:To explore the rehabilitation effect of Zhuanggu Guanjie capsulein promoting the rehabilitation of elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis.Methods:A total of 120 patients with senile knee osteoarthritis admitted to the Rehabilitation Department of the Third People's Hospital of Anyang City(from January 2022 to January 2024)were divid-ed into two groups using the random number table method.The patients in the control group(60 cases)were treated with an intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate into the knee joint,once a week,2 ml each time.If there was joint effusion,the effusion was aspirated,and injection treatment was performed.The treatment time was 4 weeks.The patients in the observa tion group(60 cases)were treated with Zhuanggu Guanjie capsule based on the treatment measures of the control group.The use of sodium hyaluronate was the same as that in the control group.Zhuanggu Guanjie capsule was taken after breakfast and dinner every day,0.9 g each time.The treatment time was 4 weeks.Changes in pain scores(VAS)before and after treatment;changes in joint function-related indicators,such as maximum active range of motion(AROM)and the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC)before and after treatment;changes in the levels of inflammatory fac-tors,such as interleukin-1 β(IL-1 β)and interleukin-6(IL-6);and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:The total clinical efficacy rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistical difference in the VAS scores between the two groups before treatment(P＞0.05).After treatment,the scores of both groups of patients decreased,and the score of the observation group after treatment was lower than that of the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistical difference in the joint function-related indicators(AROM and WOMAC scores)and the levels of inflammatory factors(IL-1β and IL-6)between the two groups of patients before treatment(P＞0.05).After treatment,all the indicators of both groups of patients improved,and all the indicators of the patients in the observation group after treatment were better than those in the control group(P＜0.05).There were no adverse reactions in the observation group and one case of nausea in the control group(P＞0.05).Conclusion:Zhuanggu Guanjie capsule can improve the clinical efficacy of elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis,improve the recovery of joint functions,relieve symptoms such as pain,have few adverse reactions,and are safe and reliable.
