Exploration of YE Tianshi's diagnosis and treatment of consumptive disease from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine constitution theory
Consumption is a general term for a variety of chronic diseases caused by multiple factors,mainly characterized by weakened internal organs and qi-blood deficiency.YE Tianshi emphasized the role of traditional Chinese medicine constitution in the formation of consumption,the evolution of disease and syndrome,the principles of regulation and treatment,and the application of prescriptions.A deficiency constitution is the fundamental factor leading to the occurrence of consumption,and the type of biased constitution determines the outcome of different pathogenesis of consumption.YE Tianshi creatively distinguished the regulation and treatment of consumption from that of general diseases,and combined the characteristics of the consumptive patients'constitution with flesh-and-blood tonics,emollient yang herbs for tonic treatment.This paper focuses on the perspective of constitution,explores and analyzes the clinical thinking of YE's diagnosis and treatment of consumption,and provides evidence of the significance and clinical value of traditional Chinese medicine's differentiation of constitution for the diagnosis and treatment of consumption,in order to provide a reference for its clinical diagnosis and treatment.
