Exploring the mechanism of action of irisin in knee osteoarthritis based on the"muscle-bone balance"concept
This study aims to explore the mechanism of action of irisin in knee osteoarthritis(KOA)by analyzing the"muscle-bone balance"theory.Irisin,as a muscle-secreted factor, has the potential to promote chondrocyte proliferation and inhibit muscle degeneration, demonstrating significant potential for arthritis treatment. This paper discusses the regulatory mechanisms of irisin on muscle-bone metabolism, thereby investigating the relevance of irisin to the"muscle-bone balance"theory and exploring its potential application in the treatment of KOA.The study aims to provide modern medical support for this theory, supporting and expanding the application of the"muscle-bone balance"concept, and offering new therapeutic approaches to improve KOA management.
