This article introduce Professor SUN Shentian's clinical experience in acupuncture and moxibustion for the treatment of multiple system atrophy.Professor SUN believes that the disease of multiple system atrophy is located in the brain,and the treatment should address both the symptoms and the root cause.The brain disease is the root cause,so we should choose scalp acupuncture to regulate the mind,and according to different types of movement disorders,acupuncture at the head acupoint area was selected for treatment.The accompanying symptoms are the symptoms,and we should consider the overall situation and match the acupoints based on meridian differentiation.Repeated transcranial acupuncture can enhance the efficacy.This provides a new treatment idea for clinical treatment of multiple system atrophy.
