Through the continuing education system,colleges and universities cultivate innovative and skilled talents,dock the regional industrial demand,provide customized services,accelerate the transformation of achievements,promote green development and realize self-transformation.The paper compares and analyzes the characteristics of continuing education modes of research universities,applied universities and higher vocational colleges,such as the deep integration of industry-university-research and internationalization of research universities,the deep cooperation between universities and enterprises and optimization of teachers of applied universities,and the market demand orientation and skilled talents cultivation of higher vocational colleges.The article also proposes service paths such as non-degree reform,short-term education adjustment and school-enterprise synergy,aiming to enhance the relevance,effectiveness and flexibility of continuing education in colleges and universities,and to help build a high-quality education system and sustainable economic and social development.
