Effects of Wumei Papaya Decoction on the gutmicrobiota and enzyme activity in mice with dysbiosis
[Objective]To study the effects of Wumei Papaya Decoction on gut microbiota and enzyme activity of antibiotic-induced dysbiosis mice.[Methods]The gut dysbiosis mice model was induced by gavage of mixed antibiotic solution. The changes of gut microbiota of mice induced by Wumei Papaya Decoction were detected by 16S rRNA sequencing technology, and the enzyme activity in feces was measured by Folin and DNS method.[Results]Compared with the normal group, the gutmicrobiota diversity of the model group was significantly reduced,Proteobacteria,Verrucomicrobiota,Klebsiella,Escherichia-Shigella were significantly increased,Firmicutes,Desulfobacterota,norank_f_Muribaculaceae,Lactobacillus was significantly reduced, and the activity of protease, amylase and cellulase were significantly increased, and the activities of protease, amylase and cellulase were significantly increased.Compared with the model group, the intervention of Wumei Papaya Decoction significantly improved the alpha diversity and beta diversity of mice with dysbiosis, and significantly reduced the enzyme activity. The Wumei Papaya Decoction can significantly increase the abundance of beneficial bacteria such as norank_f_Muribaculaceae and Lactobacillus, and reduce the community abundance of conditional pathogenic bacteria such as Proteobacteria,Klebsiella,Escherichia-Shigella.[Conclusion]Wumei Papaya Decoction can regulate gut microbial diversity and enzyme activity. It is speculated that gut microbiota and digestive enzyme activities may be the potential targets of Wumei Papaya Decoction in improving gastrointestinal function.
