Research on Emergency Surveying and Mapping for General Speed Railway Bridges in Post-Disaster Scenarios—A Case Study of Baishuihe No.8 Bridge Flood Damage Emergency Repair Project of Taiyuan-Jiaozuo Railway
Railway bridge emergency repair projects necessitate emergency support surveying and mapping, which are accompanied by multiple objective constraints, tight time schedules, low tolerance, high difficulty, and a high level of disciplinary integration. This study examined the surveying and mapping of post-disaster emergency support for conventional-speed railway bridges. As an illustration,it analyzed the water damage emergency repair project of the Baishui River Bridge on the Taiyuan-Jiaozuo Railway.A workflow of emergency support surveying and mapping for emergency repair projects of conventional-speed railway bridges was developed on the basis of an analysis of project characteristics and challenges, primarily utilizing unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)surveying technology. This workflow accelerated the acquisition of terrain data in the affected area within a short period of time, thereby providing essential data support for emergency plan decision-making and related efforts. The effectiveness of the emergency support surveying and mapping scheme have been verified through its implementation in engineering practice, where it accelerates the acquisition of on-site surveying and mapping results and the completion of associated design work. The post-repair monitoring data is of the utmost importance in establishing whether the repair project meets the requirements for traffic resumption and the restoration of normal railway line operations.
